Your travel plans for your Holiday Trip are all set, and all you have left is to ensure that everything goes smoothly before leaving home. It’s a good idea to make a checklist of all of the things you need to do before heading out on your Holiday Adventure.
Arrange to stop mail and newspaper delivery so that nothing piles up in your mailbox or outside your door, which is a clear indication that no one is home. If you have a trustworthy neighbor as them to get the mail.
Contact your bank and credit card companies to let them know when and where you are traveling.
Traveling aboard? You will need an adapter so that you can plug in your electronic devices.
When it comes to packing, pack light! Get the forecast on your destination daytime and nighttime, so that way when you are packing you can alternate layering your clothes.
On travel day, make sure that you check that you have secured your residence. Keep a few lights on in the home. Get medications and chargers for your electronics. Check to make sure that you have your boarding pass, travel documents, passports/ government issued ID.
At the airport remember if you are not a TSA pre-check member, you will need to go through the security line. Get ready to remove your coat, belt and shoes, everything out of pockets, remove Alex and Ani bracelets (this one always gets me), remove laptop and one quart bag of liquids from your carry-on bag.
Get ready to settle into your flight as the flight attendant says “Welcome Aboard”.
